5 Vegan Restaurant’s in Hampshire

Vegan restaurants in Hampshire are growing in number and popularity, sharing inventive 100% plant based alternatives to meat.

While I’m not vegan, these places help me reduce my meat intake and they’re always great for finding innovative recipe ideas for my veggies.

If you’re vegan or reducing your meat consumption these places need to be on your list to try, if you’ve not tried them already.

1. Offbeat, Southsea

Get on over to Albert Road and order the woodland umami French toast and the ‘chorizo’ and scramble breakfast taco at Offbeat Southsea. I really love this spot, and think it’s not massively noticeable that it’s vegan – the food is so good.

2. The Greenhouse, Fleet

The Greenhouse has both vegetarian and vegan options. For those that used to not be vegan, there’s a beer-battered cod-style fillet, chips and homemade mushy pea croquettes that will scratch the ‘fish and chips’ itch.

3. Hunter Gatherer, Southsea

I first found out about Hunter Gatherer as they serve decent coffee. It’s a great spot for a vegan bite and an immune-boosting juice.

4. Vemillion, Basingstoke

Grab a vegan breakfast burrito or seasonal Buddha bowl to set you up for the day.

5. Café Thrive, Southampton

This city centre vegan spot serves up lots of things but the acai bowl is my vibe and I have to admit, it’s what I have almost every time I visit!

Happy 100% plant based Hampshire eats – let me know if you try any, and what you ate.
